Project Management
Key Tasks:
• Lead project management job to ensure project steering in a systematic way
• Ensure adherence to internal processes and mitigate compliance risks
• Stakeholder alignment and team communication in regular base to adopt process in a common approach
• Business development for strategic projects in terms of internal/external cooperations
• Status and problem reporting/escalation through all levels (engineering and management)
• Proactively identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines
• Monitor task assigned from technical leader or the project steering committee and track status in a transparent and effective way
• Risk management for critical issue from internal and external stakeholders. Lead task force in case of critical issue if necessary
• Enhance transforming of partner process to fulfill VW standards in terms of supplier qualification process (e.g. gulden rules, PEP)
• Act as the primary liaison between German teams, suppliers, and local execution teams to streamline communication and resolve conflicts
• Performing individual task-related duties in accordance with the knowledge and experience of the position holder
• Advising other people holding positions at VCIC, its subsidiaries/associate companies, or cooperating organizations upon request and in consultation with the appropriate people responsible
Qualification and skills required for the position
• Master degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or evidence of experience and exceptional ability Business & Finance education or certification is plus
• Minimum 3 years in project mgmt./product mgmt./consulting / business development, with battery or automotive background (skills in problem solving, PMO, communication skills, business analytics, etc.)
• Deep understanding of automotive processes and procedures, familiarity with Volkswagen Group organization and processes;
• Strong knowledge spike in several functional automotive business areas; Exceptional analytics and communications skills; Strong drive and end product orientation;
• High engagement in content and processes incl. set up of new business lines; Strong inter-cultural skills;
• Fluent in English and Chinese; German as additional advantage;
• Strong skills in consulting relevant IT (esp. PowerPoint and Excel);
