Senior Application Engineer

Senior Application Engineer for our PINK Technology & Applicaton Center in China with focus on Sintering, Vaccum Soldering and Advanced process Technologies.

Location: Jintan District, Changzhou, People's Republic of China

Your Responsibilities

• Support the operating and continuous development of the Technology & Application Center
• Conducting Customer Trials & Feasibility Studies
  - Hold technical responsibility for customer trials and feasibility studies: planning, preparation, execution, and
    documentation.
  - Develop technical solutions for conducting these trials, including designing and adapting tooling concepts for
    vacuum sintering and vacuum soldering processes and equipment.

• Technical Customer Support
  - Act as the point of contact for complex technical issues in power module packaging.
  - Provide technical advice and support for customer-specific requirements.

• Representation & Relationship Management
  - Establish and maintain close technical relationships with customers and partners in the Chinese market.
  - Presenting application technology during customer visits, trade shows, and conferences is an advantage.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, sales and project management teams in China and Germany.

Your Profile

• Completed university degree (Bachelor/Master/Ph.D.) in a science or technology field, e.g., physics, electrical engineering, materials science, joining/assembly technology, process engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in power electronics packaging or other advanced industries, e.g., as a process engineer for vacuum soldering or sintering processes, including at least 2 years in a role with team leadership or project management responsibility.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor packaging and joining technologies, experience in vacuum soldering, pressure-assisted sintering and/or related manufacturing process. Experience with power module packaging (e.g. die attach, DCB/AMB substrates) is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of the Chinese power electronics, semiconductor and other advanced manufacturing industries.
