Research Engineer – Digitalization of Power Grid (m/f/d) – ISM Team

Your Mission
- Design and implement signal processing, embedded systems, and smart sensors for power equipment condition monitoring.
- Develop and deploy system architectures for power equipment failure detection.
- Implement accelerated signal processing solutions for enhanced system performance.
- Develop wireless smart sensor nodes to support advanced monitoring systems.
- Design instrumentation software and assist in experimental verification measurements.
Your Profile
- Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in signal processing, data analysis, embedded systems, and electronics.
- Strong expertise in measurement system integration testing and working with typical lab instruments.
- Experience in PCB-level hardware design is a plus.
- Proficiency in hardware programming (VHDL, Verilog).
- Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, MATLAB; experience in collaborative coding and version control (GitHub/GitLab) is a plus.
- Hands-on approach, problem-solving mindset, and strong teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in German
