The Global Energy Interconnection Research Institute Europe GmbH (GEIRI Europe) is the European subsidiary of the State Grid Corporation of China, the 3rd largest company in the world (Fortune Global 500). Since 2014, GEIRI Europe, located in the heart of Berlin, has been working with a multinational team of researchers to bring innovative solutions to the market. Our core research areas include Intelligent Sensing & Measurement, High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Energy Transmission, High-End Electric Materials, and Energy Storage Technologies, helping to enhance the integration of renewable energy into the power grid. Starting from 2018, the Engineering Centre has opened up a door to the European HVDC sector as the strategic base of GEIRI in Berlin and plays an indispensable role in its business development.
Through interdisciplinary collaboration with key stakeholders, it paves the way for GEIRI Europe’s international business development.
Internship as a Research Project Coordinator (m/f/d) – Energy Storage Group
Location: Berlin, Zoologischer Garten
Start Date: Preferably from 01.04.2025
Duration: 6 months
Your Responsibilities：
To strengthen our Energy Storage TEam, we are looking for a motivated intern as a Research Project Coordinator, eager to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge energy storage technologies.
- Participate in the implementation of scientific research projects, supporting project coordination and organization.
- Assist in initiating and drafting technical articles and reports based on research findings.
- Conduct analysis and research on energy storage technologies, including data collection and evaluation.
- Track the latest developments in energy storage and conduct periodic analysis using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
Your Profile：
- You are currently enrolled in a university program (mandatory) and pursuing a degree in Mechanical
- Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field. Postgraduate students are welcome to apply.
- Ideally, you have practical experience in energy storage technologies, particularly in heat storage or fuel cells, but it is not a requirement.
- You possess strong analytical and research skills and are comfortable working with complex technical data.
- You have proficiency in English for business communication; German language skills are advantageous but not required.
- You work in a structured and independent manner, demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills, and are eager to contribute to a collaborative international environment.
