Brief description of the position:

  • The key-method to meet functional demands as the R&D is Systems Engineering (SE). The "SE IT Toolchain Engineer” is responsible for accompanying the establishment of a suitable SE-specific Toolchain including the planning & build-up of SE-IT/Tool-Landscape. Also the relevant project management for system provision to VCTC is a responsibility.

 

Key Tasks:

 

  • Mentoring affected projects and stakeholders within the context of investigating suitable Systems Engineering Tool-solutions for functional development.
  • Deriving and analyzing the needs of VCTC R&D BUs regarding Systems Engineering Tools, especially for dedicated collaboration projects.
  • Analyzing the specific need for tool-change or enhancements in dedicated projects with practical expertise regarding that tools.
  • Defining the desired project-related state of toolchain derived from an overall rollout strategy in the sense of a consistent Systems Engineering. 
  • Leading the R&D Systems Engineering tool related management work, including landscape planning, coordinator organization management and weekly meeting organization.
  • Develop R&D Systems Engineering relevant project schedule and track progress.
  • Collecting feedback from VCTC R&D BUs regarding established SystemsEngineering-Toolchain to improve the SE toollandscape. Integration of found results in further definition of SE toollandscape.
  • Reporting the Systems Engineering-Toolchain-specific achievements of using optimized toollandscape and lessons learned as well as challenges and measures to solve them

 

Qualification and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree of Mechanical, Automotive or Computer science majors
  • Knowledge of data warehouse modeling
  • Knowledge of SQL, Java/Python.
  • Knowledge of website/dashboard development.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux(RHEL).
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong ability on communication, coordination, team player, study new things
