Georg Fischer Piping System Yangzhou plant is a really "Super Plant"， it occupies 46,600m2 land with total size of construction 31,800m2. It will offer sufficient spaces for up to 17 extrusion line and 30 injection machine and as well customization workshop, clean room etc. it will be the biggest wholly-owned site for GFPS in China. BUT what makes it a "super plant" is not only the size, it is also new service capabilities gained with this new site such as pre-fabrication and customization under clean room condition and technologies applied in respect of sustainability.

Products out of Yangzhou plant will serve all the segments that we are working on today, such as ME, WT, CPI, Marine, BT and DC in the future. The clean room production will not be for extrusion and injection, but for customization and prefabrication. It is the first time that GFPS has such capability in Asia region. The Yangzhou plant received the three-star green industrial building design certification in 2024, the highest rating for industrial green building in China, which is a perfect footnote to GF's global sustainability commitment.

Process Engineer

 Main Tasks and assignment:

1.Formulate extrusion process and SOP to ensure there are sufficient and clear operation work instruction from raw material transportation to pipe packing.

2.Continuously optimize pipe extrusion process and SOP to ensure continuous improvement of production cost and quality.

3.Support pipe trial production and acceptance of new equipment; Work closely with mold engineer to verify new mold or any mold change.

4.Close contact Germany plant technical team to share all good best practices each other and get support once pipe production has a problem which we could not find the reason.

5.Be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of pipe extrusion process database; Feedback the production process status to the management in time.

6.Develop training materials, train operators regularly, guide production line staff to improve their working skills, and standardize the operational requirements of each position.

7.Carry out daily inspection and supervision on site process implementation.

8.Other work assigned by the leader.

Requirements:

1.Education / Degree:College degree or above，major in engineering

2.Experience:Over 3 years working experience in plastic processing industry, such as injection, extrusion ext.

3.Specific knowledge : Be familiar with polymer material processing performance, extrusion mold/injection mold structure, extrusion and injection molding process principle and common plastic processing equipment.

4.Specific Skills:Be proficient in operating extrusion and injection molding equipment and related testing and measuring tools.

5.Quality & EHS System:Be familiar with ISO9001,ISO14001, ISO45001

6.Language:Fluent Mandarin; English can serve as a working language; fluent communication with foreigner in German.


7.Computer:Familiar with computer operation, proficient in MS office software such as Word and Excel.

8.Special Requirements:Be able to adapt to irregular overtime work.A six-month training program in extrusion technology at a GF German plant, including equipment operation, ensures the transfer of new products and technologies.
