We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented finance graduate to join our team in Germany as a Finance Assistant. In this role, you will support the financial operations across the EMEA region, with responsibilities spanning bookkeeping coordination, accounts receivable support, expense management, inventory monitoring, and budget tracking. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational finance skills within an international environment and gain hands-on exposure to German accounting processes (including DATEV).

Responsibilities:

  • Invoicing & Accounts Receivable Support
  1. Support invoicing forecasts and track local invoicing progress
  2. Assist in monitoring payment collections, maintaining clear AR records, and escalating overdue items in a timely manner
  3. Ensure accuracy and completeness of customer account information
  • Expense & Tax Data Coordination
  1. Review and consolidate expense reports for the EMEA region
  2. Prepare deductible input VAT documentation for German local business activities
  3. Provide accurate data to external accounting partners for timely bookkeeping
  • Inventory Supervision Assistance
  1. Support regular physical inventory checks across the EMEA region
  2. Assist in monitoring adherence to inventory management procedures
  3. Record and follow up on inventory quantities, conditions, and discrepancies
  • EMEA Budget Support
  1. Assist in tracking and coordinating regional budget execution
  2. upport adjustments to operating budgets and help ensure expense control compliance
  • Bookkeeping & Project Cost Support
  1. Prepare and organize documents required by outsourced accountants
  2. Assist in monitoring project-related cost data and checking project profitability logic
  3. Help ensure correct and timely cost entries
  • Basic Bookkeeping Skill Development
  1. Learn bookkeeping procedures and DATEV operations through collaboration with external accounting experts
  2. Gradually take on simple bookkeeping tasks under supervision
  •  Data Preparation & Basic Analysis
  1. Compile and structure financial data related to responsibilities above
  2. Prepare simple analytical summaries to support financial decision-making
  • General Administrative Finance Support
  1.  Assist with daily tasks for the Finance & Legal Center, including cash-flow monitoring, document preparation for tax matters, and other assigned duties


Required capabilities, and skills
:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields
  • Solid knowledge of financial accounting, cost accounting, and basic tax principles
  • Familiarity with German accounting standards or willingness to learn (DATEV experience is an advantage)
  • Strong written and spoken English, good command of German is required to communicate with local stakeholders and external accounting partners
  • Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Outstanding resilience, capable of maintaining composure in fast-paced work environments
