  • Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  1. Conduct daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs for warehouse automation systems, including conveyors, sorters, AS/RS, AMRs/AGVs, and packing machines.
  2. Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues to minimize downtime.
  3. Maintain detailed maintenance logs, equipment records, and failure analysis reports.
  4. Support system upgrades, configuration adjustments, and performance optimization.
  • Technical Coordination & Vendor Communication
  1. Work closely with Chinese equipment vendors and headquarters engineers to resolve technical issues and implement maintenance improvements.
  2. Participate in equipment installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
  3. Translate and interpret technical documents or discussions between local and Chinese technical teams when needed.
  4. Provide feedback to HQ and suppliers on recurring issues or reliability concerns.
  • Safety & Compliance
  1. Adhere to German and EU workplace safety regulations (e.g., DGUV standards, CE compliance).
  2. Conduct maintenance and repair activities following safety procedures and risk assessments.
  3. Participate in safety audits and corrective action implementation.
  • 4. Spare Parts & Cost Management
  1. Manage spare parts inventory to ensure key components are available for urgent maintenance.
  2. Track maintenance costs and support budgeting or cost control activities.
  3. Evaluate potential improvements for maintenance efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or vocational diploma in Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance of automated systems, preferably in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.
  • Solid understanding of PLC systems, sensors, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and robotics.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with automation brands such as Dematic, SSI Schäfer, Vanderlande, Honeywell Intelligrated, Geek+, or HAI Robotics is a strong plus.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, reliability, and attention to detail.

Language Requirements:
  • Fluent in English (working proficiency required)
  • Fluent in Chinese (mandatory) — must be able to communicate with Chinese vendors and HQ engineers.
  • German language skills are an advantage but not required.
