We are transforming the warehouse "Loading Dock" from a manual bottleneck into a high-efficiency automated gateway.

I. Local Finance and Compliance (Germany)

  • Oversee the daily financial operations of the German subsidiary, including bookkeeping, monthly financial reports (BWA/SuSa), preliminary and annual VAT filings, corporate income tax filings, annual financial statements, and other compliance-related activities;
  • Manage the application process for customer bank guarantees, acting as the liaison between local German banks and customer legal departments to ensure smooth business operations;
  • Lead the management of local German tax advisors and external agencies, ensuring the quality of their deliverables;
  • Serve as the primary contact for German government agencies—including tax authorities, customs, and the commercial registry—handling routine audits and inquiries.

II. EU Regional Tax Structure and Cross-Border Planning

  • Design and implement tax treatment strategies for intra-EU cross-border transactions;
  • Coordinate transfer pricing compliance and documentation preparation across EU member states;
  • Liaise with the Group Finance function to support consolidated financial reporting and transfer pricing documentation.

III. Cross-Border Tax Planning (Non-EU Regions, including the UK)

  • Lead the development of VAT strategies for the UK market—including the selection of import agency structures—and drive VAT recovery for cross-border export scenarios (e.g., Proof of Concept [POC] equipment);
  • Proactively design import/export tax structures for other non-EU regions.

IV. Business Finance Partner

  • Actively engage with front-line business operations, providing support in commercial term reviews, accounts receivable management, project financial analysis, and pricing decision-making;
  • Serve as the primary financial liaison for front-line business teams across Germany and Europe, supporting both internal teams and key clients.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional finance experience, including at least 5 years in a role with independent responsibilities within the German subsidiary of a Chinese or multinational enterprise;
  • In-depth knowledge of German HGB accounting standards and the German tax system; demonstrated ability to independently prepare VAT filings, corporate income tax returns, and annual financial statements;
  • Familiarity with the EU VAT system and UK VAT regulations post-Brexit;
  • Practical experience in cross-border tax planning, with the ability to independently design and implement multi-regional tax strategies;
  • Fluent in German and English (working languages); proficiency in Chinese communication is preferred (for liaison with Group Headquarters).

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in cross-border B2B finance within the equipment, industrial goods, or hardware sectors;
  • Practical experience handling customer bank guarantees;
  • Experience using the SAP system;
  • Experience with IPO preparation or consolidated financial statements (the company is currently pursuing a public listing).
