Brief description of the position:

The Position Holder (PH) is responsible for high level management of IT Network and related infrastructure components. 

Ensuring that the network is scalable, secure, efficient, and aligned with Group standards. The key responsibilities including architecture design and planning, technology evaluation and selection, performance optimization, providing advisories to other teams.

Key Tasks:

  • Conduct technology scouting to identify and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and platforms that can enhance IT Network performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Design and develop IT Network architecture that meet the organization’s business needs and IT strategy.
  • Develop and maintain technology roadmaps and architecture plans to guide the evolution of IT Network and meet current and future business needs.
  • Monitor and optimize IT Network performance, ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
  • Conduct analysis and assessment of current Network infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the infrastructure.
  • Establish and enforce IT Network standards, policies, procedures and best practices to meet Group and regional requirements.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure, drive innovation by proposing and implementing new solutions to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals, such as software developers and network engineers, on infrastructure design, implementation, and operations.
  • Provide technical evaluations and decisions. e.g. As member of IT architecture board and CAB, support evaluate on application infrastructure architecture design and approval for major changes.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with planning, design, implementation and optimization of IT infrastructure architecture to meet business goals and IT strategy.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Azure, Huawei, AWS, etc.
  • Knowledge of networking and security concepts in cloud, including VPNs, firewalls, and IAM.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be adept at multitasking.
  • Good communication and collaboration across team skills.
  • Good learning ability, staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
