WAGO Electronic (Tianjin) Co., LTD. Is a wholly-owned subsidiary of WAGO Group, established in 1997 at Wuqing Development Zone of China. It can provide comprehensive capabilities in product development, manufacturing, product sales, technical support and after-sales service. WAGO China is equipped with advanced manufacturing facilities, including automated machine workshop, injection molding workshop, stamping workshop, tool and die machining workshop, electronic products workshop and manual assembly workshop. All machinery and equipment are imported from Germany and Switzerland, and the tool and die workshop is fully capable of undertaking external business independently.

In November of the same year, WAGO's Asia Pacific Automation Technology Center was established in Suzhou, further strengthening WAGO's R&D and innovation capabilities in Asia Pacific and China. . In 2026, the new R&D center building had been inaugurated in Wuqing District, Tianjin, China.

Job Responsibilities

1. Steer strategic direction: Focus on the upgrading of core connector technologies, interpret the company's technological innovation strategy, and align industry-university-research innovation objectives.

2. Conduct technology foresight: Track cutting-edge industry technologies and interdisciplinary trends, identify technical pain points and barriers, and provide supporting evidence for project initiation.

3. Capture technical requirements: Engage with internal R&D and product teams, and translate technical challenges arising from business iteration into implementable pre-research projects.

4. Lead end-to-end delivery: Collaborate with universities and research institutes to develop technical solutions, take charge of project initiation, and oversee the entire process from concept generation, solution validation to prototype verification.

5. Deliver tangible outcomes: Produce technical reports and patent deliverables, continuously optimize solutions, and facilitate the transition of pre-research outcomes to commercial products and market deployment.

6. Build collaborative networks: Integrate resources from universities, research institutes, industry associations and suppliers, and establish a long-term industry-university-research cooperation system.

 

Qualifications

1. Education: PhD is preferred; candidates with a Master’s degree and intention to pursue a PhD are also welcome (exceptions may be made for outstanding fresh graduates).

2. Majors: Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanics, Automation or related disciplines; interdisciplinary background is a strong plus.

3. Competencies: Capable of independently completing the closed loop of *problem analysis – solution breakdown – on-site execution – review and optimization*, and proficient in cross-functional communication and integration of internal and external resources.

4. Experience: Prior experience in technical pre-research, technical breakthrough, industry-university-research liaison or project implementation is preferred.

5. Language: Fluent in English, with the ability to support international technical exchanges and read foreign academic literature.
