It employs 30,000 staff members worldwide. Job responsibilities 1. Compliance & Regulations 
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant German and EU EHS laws and regulations (e.g., ArbSchG, ArbStättV, GefStoffV, BImSchG, etc.) 
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and government regulatory authorities (e.g., Gewerbeaufsichtsamt, BG) 
  • Prepare for and coordinate official inspections, audits, and corrective actions
2. Environmental Management
  • Establish and maintain an environmental management system (e.g., ISO 14001) 
  • Manage waste, hazardous substances, emissions, and environmental permits 
  • Oversee environmental impact assessments and environmental reporting 
3.Occupational Health & Safety
  • Establish and continuously optimize the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (e.g., ISO 45001) 
  • Organize risk assessments (Gefährdungsbeurteilung) 
  • Investigate workplace accidents and near misses, and formulate corrective and preventive measures 
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and safe operating procedures 
4. Training & Safety Culture
  • Provide EHS training (Safety, Environmental Protection, and Emergency Response) to employees and management. 
  • Enhance safety awareness among all personnel and promote the development of a safety culture. 
  • Support EHS onboarding training for new employees. 
5. Internal Support
  • Support the EHS compliance needs of factory, engineering, production, and project teams. 
  • Participate in EHS assessments for new equipment, processes, and projects. 
  • Periodically report EHS KPIs and risk status to management. 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant EHS work experience in Germany (experience in a manufacturing or factory environment is preferred) 
  • Familiarity with German and EU EHS laws and regulations 
  • Fluent in German (at least B2 level), with strong English communication skills 
  • Capable of independently conducting risk assessments and internal audits 

Preferred
  • EHS-related certifications (e.g., Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit, SiGeKo, ISO Auditor) 
  • Experience in establishing or auditing ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 management systems 
  • Experience working in cross-cultural or international corporate environments 
  • Familiarity with the new energy, battery, chemical, or heavy industry sectors
