Customer Application Engineer (m/w/d)

Location: Munich 

Your responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical interface between OEM/Tier-1 customers and internal R&D teams, ensuring clear requirements and efficient technical alignment.
• Support requirement analysis, system integration, feature application and vehicle/bench validation for ECUs, zonal controllers and related products.
• Conduct parameter calibration, functional tuning, issue analysis and verification according to customer use cases. 
• Prepare technical documentation, including reports, design review materials, test analysis and problem summaries. 
• Contribute to test planning and collaboration closely with hardware/software teams on debugging and issue tracking. Maintain structured technical documentation (requirements, interfaces, change logs, test records).
• Participate in on-site testing, technical workshops and engineering validation activities, representing the company professionally.

Your profile: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics or related fields.
• 1–2 years of automotive industry experience preferred (OEM/Tier-1/automotive electronics).
• Knowledge of CAN/LIN/FlexRay/Ethernet and tools such as CANoe, CANape, INCA.
• Basic experience with C/C++ or Python; ECU or embedded system background is a plus.
• Understanding of AUTOSAR, UDS (ISO 14229), HiL/SiL and vehicle testing processes.
• Familiarity with requirement management tools (Jama, DOORS, Polarion).
• Knowledge of calibration/flash/measurement (XCP/CCP/UDS), ISO 26262 or ASPICE is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and structured working style.
• Proficiency in Chinese + English + German for technical communication.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites, and valid German Class B driver’s license.
