Brief description of the position:

This position focuses on data related topics in the cloud, ensuring the seamless and efficient movement of data within and across cloud environments., Responsible for conceptional designs and maintaining of data & data transfer pipelines and strategies that support the company's business needs. This position demands a strong understanding of cloud architectures data mgmt. principles, and network.

Key Tasks:

  • Plan, design and review of the end-to-end data transfer pipelines tailored to the specific requirements of different applications and business processes, including selecting suitable transfer protocol.
  • Implement and configure these pipelines to ensure the accurate and timely transfer of data between on-premises systems, different cloud providers and various storage tiers in cloud.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for each pipeline, including design diagrams, configuration parameters, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Optimize the utilization of cloud storage resources to support efficient data transfer using unified cloud data platform.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze data transfer performance metrics (e.g. throughput, latency, error rates) and make data-driven decisions to improve the efficiency of transfer operations.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures specific to data transfer, including implement encryption mechanisms to protect data in transit as well as access controls.
  • Set up comprehensive monitoring systems to tack the status and performance of data transfer pipelines, including using tools like Nagios, Prometheus or cloud native monitoring services.
  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g. network application development) to diagnose and fix cross-functional issues that impact data transfer
  • Study, plan, implement and manage new service and technical solution according to company business requirement.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by direct supervisor.

Qualification and skills:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
  • Prior experience in designing and implementing data pipelines, preferably in a cloud-native environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast - paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business requirements and technological advancements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross -functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non - technical stakeholders.
