Objectives of the Position

•Worldwide series support of the Daimler 4-cylinder gasoline engine variants

•Derivative calibration of specific vehicle/powertrain variants

•Calibration and release responsibility for specific OBD and Emission functions

•Technical assistance and support of the local BBAC vehicle production

•Result evaluation and presentation to the team as well as the Daimler management

•Engine endurance testing support and evaluation

•Homologation and certification support for imported and locally produced car lines

•Analysis of customer behavior to ensure the market orientation of the Mercedes powertrain

 

Qualification required

•Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineer or similar education

•Working experience in the areas of gasoline engines, emission, base combustion or OBD calibration.

•Experience in applying calibration equipment such as ETAS INCA, as well as experience with standard measurement equipment

•You have well-structured working habits and you enjoy facilitating changes

•You have an self-motivated and innovative workstyle and you strive for constant improvement of your work efficiency

•You like to pass on knowledge and enjoy working in a team

•You enjoy driving vehicles and you have the willingness to travel

•You enjoy working in an intercultural environment, in a team of highly motivated engineers

•You possess good English skills, both oral and in writing

•You show above-average commitment and have a high degree of responsibility

 

Task description

•Measurements on emission lab, engine dyno or vehicle

•Calibration and release responsibility of specific vehicle Emission or OBD functions

•Result evaluation and presentation to the team as well as the Daimler management

•Support of test trips in China and worldwide to calibrate and evaluate Emission or OBD functions under multiple climate conditions

•Independent organization of daily task and proper documentation of work progress utilizing the Daimler calibration tools

•Local and worldwide travel
