Service Engineering Intern, LV Systems(研发软件)
职位描述The Role
Tesla is seeking an Intern for Low Voltage and Chassis subfunctions. You need to be able to efficiently work with large amounts of information in order to process new methods and make the correct conclusions in a timely manner. A strong technical background in diagnosing complex electromechanical systems with heavy software content is required. Together with Tesla product engineer you will be responsible for activities such as engineering and manufacturing to allow a future sustainable and improved product. This role must be passionate about the product, a strong critical thinker with great fluency understanding technical system-level architecture and issues.
The Department
The responsibility of Service Engineering, as part of Vehicle Software Engineering, is to provide end to end engineering solution based on customer needs, to improve product's reliability, serviceability, sustainability and to implement changes to the customers based on high iteration speed.
Responsibilities
· Work with Tesla product engineer to debug issues in low voltage and chassis subsystems, perform diagnostics on field failures both remotely looking at data logged by the vehicle and directly in the field with onboard diagnostic tools.
· Work with Tesla product engineer for component level failure Analysis for low voltage controllers and harness, identify new failure modes that design team should avoid in the next generation of product.
· Work with Tesla data engineer to perform massive data analysis and triage failure patterns based on big data.
· Developing automatic diagnostic logics based on requirements from Tesla product engineer in the realm of low voltage and chassis subfunctions.
· Support the local validation and verification, and software Quality Assurance testing for new firmware releases.
Requirements
· Undergraduate in Automotive Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering or similar.
· Systematic knowledge for vehicle low voltage controllers and components are required, such as “PCBA” (printed circuit board assembly) and Microcontroller. Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, digital and analog circuit is a must. Experience with PCB design systems such as Altium Designer is a plus.
· Have basic knowledge of how vehicle works is a must. Previous internship experience in other OEM, or worked in university car racing team is a plus.
· Have experience in using DMM/oscilloscope or similar to acquire voltage/current trace.
· Familiar with CAN protocol/ data acquisition tool. Be able to use tools like CANoe, CANape, CANalyzeror similar is a plus.
· Familiar with Python and SQL, or able to write any coding language (and willing to learn Python) is a must.
· Able to read, interpret and design mechanical drawings. Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA is a plus.
· Fluent in English is a plus.
