To reinforce our European team based in Düsseldorf we are looking for a highly motivated
Logistics Specialist/Assistant (f/m)
As a member of the corporate planning team, you will report to the Senior SCM Consultant and assist with day-to-day operations, helping to maintain a high standard of service in our logistics activities and be part of ongoing development. You have the ability to multitask and support highly dynamic daily volumes. You are able to react quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment. Together as a team you will be known as the organisation’s valuable logistics duo.
Assisting with coordination of inbound and outbound logistical operations including inventory management, warehousing and transport to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products
Supporting integrated processes in internal functions such as operations, purchasing and SCM and outside supplies
Preparing, processing, and distributing import/export shipping documentation to comply with all international regulations
Controlling and monitoring shipping and transport costs and organising urgent shipments
Providing analytical elaborations, monitoring in/out stock control
Preparing documentation for customs control, audits and transport damages
Ensuring that commercial and sales invoices match physical shipment, quantities, value of goods, country of origin and meet other regulatory requirements
Business education or similar with minimum 1 year experience in logistics, supply chain or planning
Basic knowledge of import and customs formalities
Extremely well-organised, results- oriented and a fast learner
Ability to deal with complexity and manage ambiguity
Pro-active, persuasive and flexible attitude and cultural awareness
Proficient in Excel with strong analytical skills
Excellent communication abilities with good command of English and German
