In this position you will be part of the PCBA transversal team within the development structure. You will have different types of tasks assigned, acting with 3 main roles:
  • First role is to lead the process quality assurance required by the customer, such as Automotive SPICE. This person must have a deep knowledge of the standard, as well as strong coordination skills, in order to schedule the development and perform ASPICE audits. This person will be in charge of the management until closure of the corrective actions derived from the audits.
  • Second role of this position is to help the team to stablish new processes, detecting improvements in the design path, as well as to follow up those standards requested by customers (ASPICE, ISO26262…). For that, generation of internal guidelines, templates or work instructions are needed under this position guidance and lead. In this position it is needed a good overview of the development process what will grant connections among teams.
  • Third role of this position is project coordination at PCBA level being responsible for defining with the internal customer the requirements of new products and planning, managing and communicating the schedule, quality, budget and commercial targets of each project against the plan. This position will be the interface between the Application Engineer in the plant and the PCBA development team. Some of the tasks are: scheduling and following up internal timings and tasks, managing problems within the PCBA team and escalating them to the plant when needed.

Percentage of the dedication to each program will depend on the abilities of the candidate and the rest of the team.


  • Drive quality and compliance throughout the software development process
  • Support the creation of project Quality Assurance Plans which include all necessary gate reviews to be conducted, all work products to be audited, all processes to be assessed, and defines the quality goals, KPIs and metrics for the project
  • Perform process assessments and work product audits
  • Perform capability assessments (Automotive SPICE) on projects
  • Document and track to closure non-conformances
  • Ensure that quality findings/actions are resolved before delivery
  • Check and approve software deliveries or stops software deliveries
  • Coordinate and track quality assurance activities with project team plans
  • Report SQA activities to SQA management
  • Escalate project quality problems
  • Driving the establishment of working according to the required standards, such as ASPICE.
  • Driving the change request management and problem resolution management processes.
  • Work as Quality Assurance for ASPICE and ISO 26262 Automotive Functional Safety
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and improvement of the processes of development, Automotive SPICE and correspondent part of the ISO 26262.
  • Coordination of projects at PCBA level.
  • Manage the activities of a PCBA cross functional team, setting clear goals, objectives and delivery targets.
  • Ensure the transparent flow of information, documentation and responsibility at each stage of the project from contract award and initial prototype testing through to PPAP completion, SOP and beyond.
  • Ensure that lessons are learnt and feedback into the contract award stages for future projects.
  • Have full understanding of all the project status at all times
  • Mitigate all risks and be aware of any opportunities.
  • Provide clear action plans and status reports with named responsibilities and deadlines for presentation to senior management, customers, department heads, and project team members alike.
  • Ensure that any changes to the project plans are fully assessed and any impact to cost, schedule, quality and technical requirement are reviewed, understood and agreed with the team.
