Objectives of the Position

•Coordination, realization and evaluation of testing for China-localized chassis parts of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in order to fulfill certain release processes in accordance to Daimler test specifications


Qualification required


-University degree in mechanical or automotive engineering


-Graduates with first experience in automotive industry (e.g. internships), as well as applicants with 2-3 years’ work experience at OEMs or suppliers is plus

•Specific Knowledge

-Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language beneficial

-Computer skills mandatory, including Windows, Office

-Self-responsible working attitude and initiative

-Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels

-Strong planning and organizational skills

-High commitment for automobiles

-Willingness to travel inside China and abroad to prepare and support testing activities at suppliers


Task description

•Manage external testing for localized chassis parts (assessment of external test abilities/facilities, planning/coordination and evaluation of test results according to Daimler test standards) from beginning of hardware phase to release phase.

-External testing take place at supplier and/or test provider

-Localized chassis parts can be e.g. axle parts, steering parts, suspension/damping parts, fuel tank, rim/tire

•Manage internal testing for localized chassis parts (organization of test parts, planning/coordination and evaluation of test result according to Daimler test standards) with (near-)series parts

•Contribute requested test results for part release according to given development milestones.

•Operate test rigs for chassis testing in Daimler test lab. This may consist test rigs for testing of chassis sub-components (e.g. struts, damper) and/or complete axle systems (e.g. front, rear) under certain conditions (e.g. rough road simulation). Handling of load data and implementation of these. Lead workshop, which supports the test rig assembly/modifications/disassembly.

•Work together with cross-functional departments like quality and logistics.
