The success story started as early as 1978, when the Volkswagen Group first started to communicate with Chinese counterparts. The business scope of the Volkswagen Group in China includes the production, sales and services of vehicles and parts, such as engines and transmissions. The Group is presented by many auto brands of all segments — including Volkswagen Passenger Cars Brand, Audi, ŠKODA, JETTA, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, MAN, Scania and Ducati.
Since entering the Chinese market, the Volkswagen Group has taken the leading market position. In 2020, Volkswagen Group China, together with its joint venture partners, delivered 3.85 million vehicles to customers in Mainland China and Hong Kong, with a market share of 19.3%.
By 2050, the Volkswagen Group aims to be fully net carbon neutral around the world. Volkswagen Group China is tackling this plan with the goTOzero initiative to strengthen decarbonization efforts. The core mission for the MVM is to plan and coordinate localization projects and new projects for the locally produces EA888 Engines (including engine components, -systems and -moduls) during the entire project phase (according VW Aggregate PEP) until the Start of Production (SOP).
This includes project out of the vehicle project management, such as new local vehicle projects, facelifts and change in the vehicle premises.

The position holder influences the product by participating at overarching meetings regarding technical issues, conformity issues (Homologation) and legal issues (Hardware CCB)
The position holder ensures a product development according to the specific requirements for the Chinese market.
He also ensures functional ability and durability of local content powertrain modules (EA888)
He ensures efficient information flow in all directions (within VCIC and to Joint Ventures VWED and SVW, Headquarters, Typfuehrer and other production locations)
He establishes and monitors requirements and document changes of new or released parts and complete engine modules
He ensures the transfer of competence and knowledge to colleagues within C-EA and other
Group divisions within China.
Range of responsibility
1. The MVM is responsible for all technical issues regarding project tasks for all locally produced EA888 engine modules within the region China in the field of testing and mechanical releases.
2. The position holder is responsible to maintain a regular reporting, harmonization and synchronization for all technical issues within VCIC, the headquarters (Audi IN / VW WOB), the Typfuehrer (Audi HU) and the Joint Ventures (production locations for theEA888 Engine modules Shanghai (SVW), Dalian (VWED), Changchun(VWED II))

5. The position holder is responsible to participate at the following overarching Project

requested) technical Vehicle requirements.

function and report status and deviations to in to SE Team and above mentioned

8. The responsibility of the position holder includes the ensurement of product conformity to
all legal requirements regarding product technology within the Region china.

module (EA888) for all relevant product milestones regarding VW Aggregate PEP. (P, B
