The Schmalz Group, established in 1910 in Glatten, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, has upheld its family-run tradition for over 110 years. In 1984, Schmalz began producing vacuum components systematically, leading to the development of two major product series: Vacuum Automation and Handling Systems. The group’s extensive product range offers a wide variety of vacuum solutions for 16 industries, including aerospace, automotive, logistics, chemical, wind energy, solar energy, glass, electronics, batteries, packaging, composite materials, and more. These solutions encompass automated vacuum handling, vacuum clamping, and manual handling equipment. Currently, the group has 30 wholly-owned subsidiaries, conducting business in over 60 countries and regions.
In 2005, the Schmalz Group established Schmalz (SHANGHAI) Co., Ltd., a whollyowned subsidiary in Shanghai. Since its establishment, the subsidiary has achieved remarkable success in the Chinese market. In 2019, Schmalz (CHINA) Co., Ltd. was established in Taicang, Jiangsu Province, becoming the Schmalz Group’s second wholly-owned subsidiary in China. Serving as the Chinese headquarter, it supports business operations in Asia and other Schmalz Group subsidiaries worldwide. The Chinese team, known for its excellence, is committed to providing comprehensive product solutions to customers across various industries. Their services encompass project consultation, product development and design, custom solutions, technical support and training, and after-sales installation and maintenance. Schmalz has become an essential player in China’s automation market, making significant contributions to the development of vacuum automation and ergonomic handling technology in the country.
